Four days living adventure and history together. From Bir Haddaj, Qasr Al-Rumman, and the Temple of Salm, through Al-Fajr Museum, Bait Al-Sadu, and Ishat Al-Saadoun, ending in the Great Nafud Desert with a refined Bedouin experience hosted by Um Ahmed – the Lady of the Desert.

Our program includes transportation, heritage visits, an inscriptions trail guided by a specialized reader, overnight stay and meals in the Nafud, with the Trekcy team managing every detail.

Day 1 | Arrival

        Airport pickup from Tabuk

• Meet & greet, program briefing

• Visit Bir Haddaj (historic well)

Day 3 | Great Nafud Desert

Premium Bedouin Experience with Um Ahmed – the Lady of the Desert

• Overnight stay in the Nafud

• Traditional meals prepared by Um Ahmed

• Storytelling and sharing her desert life experiences

Day 4 | Great Nafud → Tabuk

• Authentic Bedouin morning in the desert

Who is Um Ahmed?

Um Ahmed is someone who has lived in the desert her entire life.
Since she was young, she grew up among the sand and the open land. She knows the desert well, understands it, and life there shaped who she is.

She doesn’t just live in the desert — the desert is part of her.
She has many stories to share from her life and long journey.

Her words are simple, but they carry deep meaning.
She talks about quiet nights under the stars and the hard moments she went through and learned from.
When you sit with her, it feels like you’re listening to a real life experience, not just a story.

• Sawwanat Al-Khanfah → Tayma: 50 km (paved road)

• Tayma → Great Nafud: 90 km (paved) + 90 km (sand tracks)

• Great Nafud → Tabuk Airport: 340 km (paved) + 90 km (sand tracks)

• Limited seats to ensure privacy and comfort
  We must coordinate with us before booking the pilots' tickets to arrange the appropriate times

• Trekcy provides essential camping gear, Bedouin sleeping setup, and safety equipment
  (Guests are advised to bring personal items: appropriate clothing, personal sleeping gear, and any special needs)

• The itinerary may be adjusted due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, while maintaining a complete and rich experience

Accommodation at Umm Ahmed’s Camp

The accommodation will be in a remote desert location, far from cities and main roads.

There is no mobile network or internet coverage throughout the stay.

The stay will be approximately two days, offering a simple and authentic experience based on the traditional lifestyle Umm Ahmed has lived for many years.

Nature of the Stay

• Overnight stay in an open desert setting.

• Traditional, basic accommodation with no hotel-style services.

• All essential needs must be arranged in advance.

• Participants must be mentally and practically prepared for the experience.

• It is recommended to inform family members in advance about the lack of communication during the stay.

• This experience is suitable for those seeking isolation, simplicity, and a true connection with desert life.
